The theme of Kushiro Shitsugen-Akan-Mashu byway is natural diversity and splendor, a mysterious byway that thrills the sense. It is run by the local residents of Kushiro area, lake Akan area, Teshikaga area and Nakashibetsu area.
　Various activities such as Relay Cleaning, HP which is distributed local information by 30 local residents, Scenic Cafes which supply the season driving inforamtion to visitors, those activities are cooperative work of residents of four areas.
